I keep on moving but I'm going nowhere. I can't confirm or deny if I've spiraled into any regrets or just past them. This transitional phase is getting old but I'm not looking to settle down. I wonder if I'll like where I end up.

DECORAT!NG is an oppressed passion of mine, perhaps overshadowed by my room's accumulation of clutter. Looking for inspiration is easy, especially with so many blogs devoted to the endeavor. I wish I was following a more organized schedule this summer but as it is my moleskin planner remains untouched. I want to work on a project, get involved in something. Tomorrow I will deliberate and announce what it is I plan on doing, however simple or complex I decide it to be.

I'm pretty sure a blog can be used like a journal, and since I love paper journaling, I will again try to resurface this blog into something of a reference point for me and memories. I think it will be more of an interest archive and hopefully some form of inspiration palette, or a place to gather ideas from. I love inspiration boards, but for whatever reason it's not exactly the right format for me, living in a dorm setting. I can't really make a constant mess of a bulletin board and be able to see it all the time!

I got done a lot of work today, thanks to GTD or maybe just a combination of motivation and lack of tennis practice. Tennis match tomorrow! Productivity rocks.

I wish there was a way all my thoughts could be recorded and put into writing. It would be so much easier than trying to edit what I think as I write it. I wouldn't leave out important thoughts that immediately after thinking, I forget. Will this be possible at some point in the future?

I'm home for Thanksgiving break. I really need to check my school email- perhaps I will have to head back to school to give a speech as soon as tomorrow evening. So far that speech hasn't been written. I think it was due in September.

I feel just as I'm finding my place at school (in terms of a group of friends, of good grades, of a steady schedule) it's getter closer and closer to graduation. I just signed up for two summer school classes at MU. I'm really nervous. I don't know if I'm ready to leave what I've become so comfortable with. As much as I wish high school was over, I wish college was over too- like I could just skip the whole ordeal. My goal is at this point to get it done in as little time as possible.

We were looking up houses yesterday in Co-Op. I think that only added to not wanting to go through the dorm ordeal and just fast forward to having my own place.

a Write down everything I eat during the course of the day. Not only will it allow me to realize everything that I'm consuming, which will hopefully lead to better eating habits and eventually a slimmer figure for next month's prom!

a Start spending my money more wisely. The majority of it has dwindled away on food and pointless purchases. I don't ever want to have a money problem and I'm not off to the best start.

a Try to discover ways to boost my memory. I am the most forgetful person I know when it comes to daily tasks or just simple things to remember. It's not like my memory's getting worse, it's just always been bad!

I have realized that there is a certain personality trait that every one of the people I can't stand have. There are thinkers and there are do-ers and then there are those who just bitch about everything. Instead of doing something to either temporarily or permenantly solve their problems, all these people choose to do is complain. I can't say I'm not guilty of an occassional complaint over red lights, teachers, or the weather, but I don't find it necessary to announce or publicize each and every one of my daily problems. Complaining gets you nowhere! (Well, not unless you're complaining to a school administrator or a police officer.) There must be some reason besides the natural instinct to vent that provokes something within these select indivudals and causes them to complain or object to obstacles thrown at them.

Blogs are filled with complaints. Hello Kitty Hell is a site dedicated to one man's perverse hatred of "all things Hello Kitty". There are smaller, more personal blogs that contain details of one's day to day life and everything that is wrong with it. An acquantiance, I cannot call him a friend, has such a blog, in which he decided to verbalize in writing how other people reading his posts and being upset about them is stupid. He says the entries are for himself, but yet he makes them public and accessible to anyone who happens to look for them. There's also the case he neglected to mention, the accidental arrival of an internet surfer subject to a glimpse of his daily ranting. If this online journal is only for himself, then why aren't the entries private? It sure sounds like he's just a bit insecure and "talking" about people inadvertantly allows him to believe he has confronted everyone who has made him unhappy.

It's not just him who I've noticed this odd and annoying characteristic in. Every one of my classes has someone in it who I can think of reacting poorly, loudly, or innapropriately after a statement of their dislike is announced or assessed. I really think there are better ways to deal with bad news or a bad feeling that these people don't even consider. It's also possible that what they're complaining about isn't even their problem to begin with! They should probably be reassessing with how they're dealing with things, because they're probably dealing with them the wrong way.

PETA & Porn Join Forces

PETA not only recently created an entire website dedicated to "Hairy-Kate and Trashley" but have now joined forces with Jenna Jameson to promote their cause of anti-fur. I'm not an advocate of wearing fur myself, although I by no means go to any extreme, but I don't understand what PETA is trying to prove at the moment. That if you can't get the Olsen's to join your cause, you'll settle for Jenna Jameson? I guess support is still support.

While I don't understand PETA's techniques, I do agree with their cause. I haven't eaten red meat or pork in awhile and hope to soon give up poultry as well.

Prom

Yesterday I spent the whole afternoon with Noah, Cae, & Chance at King of Prussia looking for a prom dress for Caeli. I tried a few on myself and it was super fun. It definately has me pumped up about prom. I already have a dress. Too bad I can't find it online to share! It's full length Gunny Sacs for Jessica McClintock vintage 1990's. Hahah.

I'm spending the week at Devon's. It's been fun so far!

Noah sent me a text today with a quote from Albert Camus inside. He didn't know I was familiar with the philosopher even though I had recently told him something Camus once said. I thought it was so interesting we had both thought to tell the other a line of wisdom Camus had to offer. I probably ruined it then by bombarding Noah with every trivial bit I knew about him, including that he was agnostic and had once spoken to a large group of religious leaders and not made a fool of himself. I find Albert Camus to be an intriguing character and even more so now that Noah identifies with him as well.

It's freezing because I'm by the window so my hands are cold. Either way I'm playing the generic version of Snood online and getting frustrated when the ball doesn't shoot where I wanted to. I'm grateful because I finished my research report on Chernobyl. I won't have much time tonight because I'm going to the doctor RIGHT after work and then when I get home, Noah should be there. I was afraid I'd be up really late and handing in crappy work. At least now I have something and it's finished. I handed in my graduation portfolio- I thought I would never get around to finishing the paperwork. It feels awesome for it to be over with. I still have to order my cap and gown but I got the information from the company so I'll be able to mail out my "form" soon.

Frustrating situation of the day:
In my Co-Op class (it's like a work experience class every three days because I leave early and go to work) there was a sentence on the overhead that said Something something "something? Our teacher had forgot to put in the second set of quotation marks. The class insisted that they belonged after the question mark while I knew they went before. They were all saying that my mom was the english teacher and I should know, which I responded to that I did know! The one girl even felt the need to prove me wrong by getting out a paper my mom graded where she didn't mark "slakfjas?" wrong. I didn't look at it so I don't know if it was a spoken quotation within a sentence or if my mom just marked it wrong. Co-Op=death.

Headache

My boss isn't here today so I'm silently celebrating. I've been so stressed out the last few weeks because of senior stuff, art show stuff, homework piling up, college stuff, etc. It's really time consuming and doesn't give me much time to relax. Even when I can relax it still means I should be working on one of the aforementioned things. I had been writing in the journal Caeli's parents gave me last year for Christmas, but after switching purses I can no longer carry it everywhere with me. That's what leaves me to write here after months of never using this. I deleted the xanga I had since middle school because Noah didn't like the idea of having so much information available on the internet. I realize that when I was younger I didn't worry too much about that kind of thing so I definitely included things that I shouldn't have and am wise not to now.

This moring I had that awful "Umbrella: Remix" stuck in my head. All while I was supposed to be listening to some sort of critical thinking/critical reading stuff from my English teacher. I suppose that's appropriate now that it's storming and I'm not finishing the paper I had for him. It's in my car, maybe I'll finish it before his class tomorrow.
